Messing around with some funky co-ferments out of Traffic in Montreal. The Jai-Chew Lychee does smell and taste amazingly like lychee, and the PB&J has incredible grape jelly and banana bread notes with a buttery peanut finish.

These fermented/infused beans are absolutely crazy. I've had one infused with watermelon and it was like drinking watermelon juice, but a black liquid.

I had a bag of gifted beans that were fermented with* grape (the candy flavour). It was neat at first but the novelty wore off quickly. It really took away from the quality of the bean and the roast quality, or lack thereof.
Okay to try for fun, but not for me.

All these infused beans, they sound cool and all but I don't think I'll like them, I don't think I can finish a whole bag of them with drinking only 1 a day.

I would say that Traffic gets the balance right - it's not overpowering, it adds a subtle but fun note to the coffee, and doesn't detract from the excellent roast job that was done on the coffee.

Infused is not the same with co-fermented. I think you should give it a shot.
Next meet I should bring grinder/kettle/burner/scale and make coffee at the meet lmao.
Pourover - I do 21g/350ml, so each bag is about 15 drinks give or take.

It's on the funky end of coffee, more experimental style for sure.

Looks like Traffic!

Interesting. I've had infused but never co-fermented. Will have to give this a try.

Traffic in Montreal is terrible. And they're fixing the streets year-round. Why would anyone want to go there?

Half the fun of coffee is finding unique flavours through different beans, growing conditions, and fermentation and roasting methods. But not adding flavours in the process!
I knew it would get to this point once the zoomers grew up and got bored of normal interesting coffee.

I’m pretty sure that’s a presidents choice no name brand coffee. I don’t know what traffic has to do with it.

I tried some blueberry infused beans while I was in Hawaii from Green World Coffee Farm. Was really good and would try again.
