I never really watch TV and never heard of this show until I saw this thread, saw the 1st season on sale at HMV cheap and picked it up... it's pretty funny! Thanks for recommending it!

episode wasn't bad. The whole slapsgiving thing got old real fast though. and the slap wasn't that suspenseful.

it really is a better version of friends, IMO. they have some of the most original episodes that airs these days. the format of their episodes always changes - so it's always something new. i remember the episode where they talk about dating someone close to you - like a neighbour or coworker...
still - best HIMYM moment = Barney on the Price is Right

i just watched a couple episodes of TBBT - and it's pretty good. some of the jokes i laughed pretty hard. i don't find it as clever in terms of different episode styles compared to HIMYM though... and the characters don't have as much depth. pretty friggin funny though.
