I bought this last year and I barely even played 30 mins of it. They wanted people to stop pirating the game so they made it mandatory to go online which is a fail strategy when their server goes offline so often. I still play sim city 3 sometimes because of that.

no difference really.. just seems slightly faster and less laggy as it's all done on your computer instead of their servers
