when the 3rd died, he absorbed orochimaru's arms in him
the thing is, the 4th didn't absorb the kyuubi in himself, but in naruto
they said he died, but they haven't really talked about that much, making it possible for him to be still alive

I just started watching this...I'm on episode 10 right now.
It's not bad but...meh, it's among the best ones I've seen. The characters seem generic and lack real personality, really...and everyone always has to explain everything in such detail like we're idiots.
It's like watching Rurouni Kenshin and focusing on Yahiko rather than Kenshin...which would be boring.
