Those old cars always have such dedicated groups that find ways around things or someone makes an aftermarket solution... or you just trade in wrecked cars salvaging parts.
It's not for everyone, but it can be a lot of fun.

i doubt it. As long as people are still waiting 3-5 months for a corolla, the used car market will stay inflated.

I don’t doubt the number of people lining up with $$$ to burn for rare or luxury or 3rd/4th/5th vehicles they collect or feel nostalgic about is drying up, which is the primary audience for most cars appearing on BAT and, to a lesser extent, carsandbids… but I agree the regular used car market isn’t going to be dropping off in the near future.

cars in the $10k-$30k category will likely stay inflated as those cars are necessities. People buying luxury / enthusiast cars will likely drop as interest rates keep climbing. Will be interesting to see in the next few months as we go into winter

the sub 50k stuff, "regular cars" are slowly starting to age on inventory.
it may pick up in september when the new GST kicks in for the new 100k+ stuff.

I drove by Westwood Honda, their lot is packed with used cars. The inventory is there, and by now a lot of people that can wait will wait some more.
