Free Gundam kit at Metrotown. Gundam Base Pop Up Store. You get 30 minutes to finish a kit. If not, you get to take it home. I think you have to at least start the kit. I got here at around 10:30. Got in right away. Any later and you’ll have to reserve a time slot.
Fuck my fingers are no longer working so well. Eyesight is pretty bad. If you don’t finish and there’s a huge lineup, they kick you out. It’s just before noon. I finally finished the thing. I was determined to finish it come hell or high water. The kit is the same for everybody. RX-78-2. Anyway, great fun for free!

I'm going back tomorrow to get the MG 1/100 Wing Gundam Zero EW Neon Pink. It's approximately 1/2 price of retail and comes with glow in the dark decals. I saw one in a display case there and fell in love with it.
Another one I want to get is the gold Hyaku Shiki ver. 2.0 [Mechanical Core Plating]. It will be available on Saturday only. People will be lined up for that one. They predict people will be lined up at 6:00 am or earlier. Most likely sell out instantly.
Funny that they didn't have any Perfect Grade kits at the pop up. Some nice displays at the venue.

Is that an MG 1/100 Hyaku Shiki or an HG 1/144? Cuz I briefly dropped by the pop up shop today, and there was already a 1/144 Hyaku Shiki with some sort of special metallic painting available for sale.
I have been so out of the loop on Gundam model kits stuff that I only know EG models are selling in the $10 - $15 range. All the MG being in the $90 - $150 range was totally freaking me out.

weird, my friend got there last saturday at 10am, asked if kit was free they said no. maybe you got the seniors freebie or they hatin' on my friend

I have a couple of large PG kits I purchased way back when I was into it. Those aren't cheap. I was saving it for when I got older and less active. After yesterday, me thinks I better start them before I go blind and have little to no control of the fingers. My hands are still steadier than most people.
Annyway, the Hyaku Shiki is the 1/100. It's in the link. I think it's going for $260+
