i got to watch saturday's fireworks from the penthouse at the Coast Plaza on Denman... tallest building overlooking english bay. unfortunately i was at a private party and bringing a 3rd leg wasn't an option. so i had to hand hold... and even with VR, at extremely high iso (1600) i got some good shots, but a lot were 100% crap.. oh well!
Here's a couple of the better ones from the evening before it got too dark:
i may post some more later... but most of them the camera shake combined with the distortion from shooting at 1600 made for ugliness...

thanks! yup a 15mm fisheye (loses a lot due to the crop factor). 100% filterless (this lens can't take a filter). tweaked my exposure "in-camera", and then some photoshopping... mostly playing around with gradients and luminosity. but the colors were in the sky in the shot, just varied in terms of saturation
