I think there is for sure.
I know lots of people in their 30s or 40s that are single that just either take a break from apps, or completely walk away from them entirely. They essentially accept and enjoy being single, and if something comes their way organically great, if not, life goes on.
It's interesting how things have changed in that way, especially since covid.

I'm pretty much here LOL. If it happens it happens, if it doesn't it doesn't. Met some pretty cool people when I was in Korea, but nothing long term, at least not realistically. My game in Asia vs game in Vancouver is unmatched tho. I think it could be that the values that I hold are more akin to traditional Asian values, and it definitely works better in Asia. Or maybe more the idgaf what happens/the fact that I'm not at home  .
I did unexpectedly match and go out with someone very down to earth, values and upbringing match, and she even paid for the date - lunch and dinner. Second date scheduled.

You probably get the shittiest type of people on the apps. Chances are even if you meet someone you like they are a serial dater who are still on the apps even after you think you've hit it off. Always looking for someone better.
You must have somewhat of a social network, friends that know people who aren't crazy? Hell you'd probably even do much better just putting your nuts on the chopping block and cold approaching someone.

We had a guy in BCIT, him and his buddies would go out drinking, and whoever brought home the biggest unit, would have free drinks the next time they went out

One of my buddies is trying to get with this girl who's also a friend of mine. She fits the above description to a tee. Bro has paid for every single "date" they've been on, but the ONE date they went on when they were in Tokyo where he ran out of cash and the girl had to pay, she bitched to my wife about him saying how he never pays for anything  absolutely retarded.
I think at the end of the day, everyone has to remember that there's a reason why there are 30yo good looking/above average looking Asian girls that are single. Most of them are fucked in the head. One of my friends got "dumped" through a massive 10 paragraph breakup message. Except, they never even went out on a single date LOL.
Vancouver Asian girls are just absolutely insufferable. Glad my wife is a fob.
