Speaking to the Toyota Crown, I ended up renting one for the week here in Phoenix.
I fucking hate this car. It drives like a boat, has an anemic engine, and I can't stand this stupid shifting functionality. I get so damn confused going from drive to reverse, and why the fuck is park a button?
Maybe I'm getting old but this car sucks.

Camry Hybrid with and without AWD is pretty quiet on the highway.
220HP for a low sedan is fine, esp the AWD version.
245HP for crown’s height sounds like it’s not good & it’s even more fucked in the Sienna.

I'm currently in hobz homeland and shit is amazing. I'm just in peasant Didi $2 cars some gac or aion. And shits so much better than Corolla, Camrys. Quiet, smooth, rear leg room is amazing, low road noise. How can a compact hatch have more legroom than my ls430. World wide cars are fucked if they do fucked if they don't. They can only stall the inevitable for so long. They are already selling to other countries.

It’s Shanghai bro. It’s the showcase city of the CCP. Its lost a of the old charm of when I was a kid, but we should be proud of what our people have accomplished. I feel the same when I go to Hong Kong or Macau. Quite an amazing accomplishment vs our century of humiliation.

It is amazing, I think it's progress by 5y 10y, change is amazing, I was just walking by a park next to a main road. At least 80% of cars are ev, bikes are ev, buses are ev, you can hear the birds chirp, it's that clean and quiet, no exhaust smell or heat. We can't even figure out AC on buses here

Yeah it’s quite an accomplishment. You can do these long term city / social planning that you just can’t do in western style democracies. Rapid progress but at the cost of some cultural / heritage / history. I’m all for Chinese industrialization but I sometimes wish they would have copied Japan and still honor our historical sites and not just bulldoze everything.
Lookkkg at you 3 gorge damnit. How many of those villages in foshan, taishan, etc did we inadvertently vacate due to the draw of big cities. It’s a bit depressing.

Yes there's still China jank, smoking everywhere, dirty. But the improvement is huge. You used to have to worry about pick pockets, taxi scams. It's so safe walking everywhere now with cameras, Didi taxi apps so you know price before you book. Good service, no tips. You can't even take the bus without worrying being stabbed.

ive never driven it but my co worker has one and ive sat inside it. Its quite luxurious! its basically like the old avalon or lexus ES/LS hybrid.
As for the shifter, all modern day toyotas will have this. This lousy prius shifter shit... you get used to it.

^Well the GF likes this dumb boat, so I guess that's all that matters.
I'll give it one thing, the UI is quick and snippy, not laggy at all. Fuel economy is good as well.
Other than that this car elicits zero enjoyment out of driving it.
Excuse me while I drive this droning ass boat to the Salt River.
