I was changing the seals on the fuel injectors in the fall as one of them was leaking a little... and when I took the charge cooler off I noticed:
Coolant in the intake. The heat exchange in the charge cooler was leaking. So, I ordered a new one, 6 week lead time they say. 6 months later I had it in my hands.
Before:
During:
Done
Aside from actually getting the part, and getting the trunk lid back on, it was refreshingly easy to do. Having said that, the old cover for the cooler doesn't fit on the new one, which is a bit annoying. Not sure if it matters though really.

Are there no aftermarket options? I'm guessing the car is too niche and most people don't do power adders?

The charge cooling system is aftermarket. It replaces the intercooler to avoid heatsoak at the track with the extra boost this has.
A few different places make these, but I didn't need the whole setup (pumps, pipes, rad, etc.) so I was kind of stuck buying from the same place that engineered the first one. Their first batch this time was faulty, so it took a second one.
Anyway, job's done. Now I just have to get rid of the 8 month old gas before I can really have some fun.

Phew - Learned how to replace brake shoes... That's right. Drum brakes in 2023.
Then because my dumb ass partially popped a piston out of a wheel cylinder, had to also learn how to bleed some brakes. Shockingly easy.
Now to clean all the damn brake fluid off the garage floor...

Did the same thing on my 997 a couple years ago. Took me 3-4 weeks to get the jig in from Stomski Racing. Ruined a few drill bits that were advertised as carbide for hardened steel, until I just bought the most expensive carbide tungsten one I could find.
Those jigs are life (head?) savers though.

My 92 Celica came with gold emblems. I have no clue why, it was originally sold in Sask lol. But I liked them so much better than the silver ones I kept them when I got rid of the car.
