You need to work more on the dynamic range of your photos. I would have popped the flash for pic #1 at about -1EV to get the 'no swimming' sign brighter.

GranTurInj: what PP did you do to convert to B&W? The red roses of the groom should not blend in with the green of the leaves like that.
|
Which shot are you talking about, the one that's completely B&W? I just used Desaturate.

Definitely, after learning what I know now, I could never do a straight desat. Channel Mixer in monochromatic is where it's at.

Some fashion market featuring local designers. It's on-going, every last Sunday of the month.
Majin: The print is much better...the bokeh is creamy smooth. I think the USM & resizing in PS did it. Aperture was f2, I think.

Although rangefinders don't have DOF preview, the lenses have distance scales so you can use the hyperfocal distance to focus, a feature sadly missing from modern SLR lenses. People are getting too reliant on AF...but sometimes that can't be helped with the tiny viewfinders of current dSLR's.

I can't stand autofocus, it always owns me... I wish my lens had a distance scale. That's why I like playing with my SPII so much. Plus it has an aperture ring, which I love.
