The messages sent from Jennens on May 12, 2023, include him stating he was looking at the student's photo on their story again and it "turned me on a lot," followed by messages of wanting to see more of A.P.'s body, such as he liked seeing A.P. in a mini skirt, liked it when A.P. touched his knee, and liked it when A.P. talked about his chicken lamp, which was discussed in court with the student previously commenting on the lamp in Jennens' classroom by saying, "Can I turn on your c**k?"
Jennens' defence team argued during the trial that the accused was trying to teach the student a lesson about posting sexualized photos online. Jennens had been drinking at the time he sent the messages, and when the student disengaged from the conversation, the defence argued Jennens panicked and abandoned his original plan.
"There is some sense to his explanation, even if it does not entirely line up," the judge told the court.
This is the warmest, nicest, most open I've ever seen PP. If this was the version voters saw the election might have gone differently (though he's not really this version). He still comes across as awkward and a bit smug but at least he's somewhat likeable here.
then his base would think he's too soft. the guy cant win. he spent years just bashing trudeau and then when trudeau left he lost his punching bag and his strategy was rendered totally impotent. if he focused on clear policy from the start then he might have actually won. instead he didn't release his platform till after advance voting was already over.. lol. they relied on generic populism and division until the 11th hour.

You just know when the cameras are off, I bet they get along like old buddies.
Think about it like this, as long as Canada has this imaginary threat over its head, Trump wanting to "buy" Canada or whatever keeps boomers up at night, it really breathed new life into the entire Canadian identity for so many people, and now the Canadian flag is associated again with "Elbows up" or whatever, and the Liberals have restored their mandate to rule. If Kamala won in the USA(impossible, rigged elections), then the Cons in Canada would have rode to victory.
If I had some money right now, I'd lean into the "Elbows up" thing and arrange to do trash cleanups on camera set to patriotic music. Like go around picking up trash. There is so much gross garbage on the side of the highway where I live, just a small example.
Other than the beer, I haven't seen anyone else really capitalize on Elbows Up yet...
I wasn't a fan of the "elbows up" slogan, it's about as boomer messaging as you could get.
