dl 315x2 @ 192lbs.
Did 6am workout. Legs and abs. Find it realllly tough to squat heavy first thing in the morning. Like 5 people in my gym thanks to the snow!

Ya I know my bench is weak
But with powerlifting, it's either you can squat/deadlift huge ass numbers and you can't bench much or it's you can bench a school bus but can't deadlift/squat worth shit.
There are exceptions where some people are solid across the board but then people are raising questions.....
Plus when you fluctuate weight classes like me, the first place that muscle mass and strength disappears is from your upper body, ie your bench drops. Loosing leg mass is next to impossible once you've built them up

Ya. This was the BC Powerlifting Winter Open meet held at Granville Island. That picture is my 2nd attempt on deadlift. Body was already shutting down at that time with all the soreness and latic acid buildup. Picture was taken around 6:30pm (we started at 2pm)

Last year my bench was close to my squats lol
So do they test for roids , or like do they only test If a mini version of Phil heath comes in and rapes since most power lifters are bulky and have the powerlifting look, not saying power lifters are not on the juice but I am wondering how that works, I want to compete next time I bulk up
260-280 pounds I think I would do ok

Been working so much that I haven't gone to the gym in 2 weeks; eating crappy food; I feel as if I'm shrinking and losing strength....motivation is going down the shitter too...
Need to buy protein powder, BCAA powder, and L-glute powder...that should get me back into the gym after spending some good cash...

At the Open meets, I assume they don't test. At the provincials/Westerns/Nationals/Worlds they most likely test.
They also test if you broke a record for squat/bench/deadlift and also if you broke a record for total lifts.
Don't quote me a 100% because they can do it randomly anytime
PS: there was this guy at the meet who in Nov weighed in at 160lbs and this sunday (Jan) he weighed in at 203lbs. Ironic much??

If anyone is curious, there is a Physique Show on June 30th, I believe in New West, I'm going to get more info. Winner gets national pro card (meaning you can complete as a pro bber).
Might end up doing that show, rather than the Sandra Wickham in November.

sweet jesus i hate 'personal trainers'
girl im good friends with who is gorgeous, tall and thin, goes to the gym 4 days a week... shes been eating poorly for the last few months due to not having a kitchen available (house renos) so shes gotten a little softer but is still thin. she was talking to a personal trainer and he put her on a 'program'.
i just took a look at that program. its basically 5 meals a day, 2 of them are shakes, the other 3, a fuckin hamster eats more than that. and hes got FOURTEEN supplements in the list. and a good chunk of them are fat burners, snake oil powder, or things like caffeine (she doesnt drink coffee because she cant handle the cafeine). and hes got her going to the gym twice a day, one of which is doing HIIT first thing in the morning before eating.
it would be a half alright program... for a fat ugly chick.
i told her to throw it all in the garbage and stop complicating things and simply eat better like she was in the summer when she was wouldwife/10.
