It's pretty low if Chris knew ahead of time of her history for alopecia.
Anyone see Will's acceptance speech about Williams defending his family? Perhaps that's why Will did what he did after seeing/realizing that Jade wasn't happy about Chris' joke.
I couldn't decide if he was accepting an award or making a reason for why he did what he did... either way he came off pretty crazy... dude talking about God putting him on earth to protect and love people and some power is flowing through him?

I guess I can't relate but isn't alopecia a treatable non life threatening condition? I don't know is it publically known that she has been depressed about this before? I mean if she had a crazy battle with cancer that's another thing. Again, can't relate in anyway shape or form. Right or wrong staged or not meh it was interesting for all of 2 mins for me then I moved on. I guess I'm glad someone didn't start a thread on this lol.

According to Rock, he was inspired to make the movie after his three-year-old daughter Lola asked him, "Daddy, how come I don't have good hair?" She has curly, wiry hair typical of many people of African descent. He realized she had already absorbed the perception among some black people that curly hair was not "good".
In any case, it's obviously a sensitive topic for her, and Will probably got embarrassed for laughing at the joke, and freaked out.
And no, alopecia isn't really treatable. Most men have it and eventually shave their heads. For many men, this is a difficult transition, and many don't even accept it, opting for bad looking wigs and expensive surgeries. For women, it's an even harder step to take, and based on the documentary, maybe even harder for Black women.
Given the setting that's definitely not the actions of someone who's doing too well mentally. His acceptance speech didn't really help either, he sounds a little nutty. You'd think a couple who airs their dirty laundry on TV would know how to take a joke better.
I respect defending your wife but he could have went about it in a different way. It's wild that nothing happened after slapping someone on live TV lol, that Hollywood privilege.
