Damn, I love that PowerPlay camera view from behind the net.
They should use it more often when the offensive team has control of the puck. See the game from the goalie's point of view...
or as close as we can to it.

are you talking about when he had that backhand chance when nabakov was out of position? they showed that thorton had his stick on demitra's stick so the shot was taken away from him... hence the spin and the forehand shot. still, he's got more jump to his step ever since the olympics.

Kes is 24. I'd think we'd want him here for about 10 years. Give him 10-years, $40m. Personally, I think he'll sign for $4m a year...give or take $250k. When Burrows signed, he said he would take a home discount and 4m is a discount price for a 70-point player, responsible defensively, second-line center.
However, he could always cite Mike Richards or Paul Stastny who are getting high 6m and he has better numbers than both those guys.
I don't think he'll get $5m a year. In comparison, that's about what Anaheim is paying Ryan Getlaf.

Well I just hope he will take a home discount... Either way, I don't see how Canucks can just let him walk though even if he was asking for 5 or 6mil...
I'll just be really pissed at him then. Since Sedins are getting 6 mil. It's almost disrespectful.
