no one in this city since the arrival of Luongo has ever treated him fairly.
Simple as that. there is no inbetween or "mixed feelings" with this guy. As a canucks fan, even I will sometimes get sucked into the love/hate Luongo thing. As smart hockey fans we have to sometimes just slow it down a bit to analyze what we have infront of us
Reporters like Tony Gallagher have a job for so long cuz he feed cynicism down our throats with the bullshit he writes and speaks of on the radio. The ignorant bandwagoner or anti luongo fanboy will then take the shit he spits out, and voice their opinions.
At the same time, The Vancouver Canucks are under the microscope for EVERY SINGLE ACTION they do on and off the ice. Luongo being the biggest and largest specimen in history.
Looking at stats is foolish come playoff time. Goalies can turn into the opposite of what they are in the playoffs. ie: Chris Osgood. who sucks balls during the regular season, but plays like a monster night in and night out in the post season.
The thing i fail to hear still, well only a few of you people have mentioned it is how the canucks play to win. With or WITHOUT Luongo, the team of forwards and D are still the same. which is a team that scores goals and can come in waves if needed be.
This is the salary cap age, where you build a team around franchise players such as Luongo. Throw in bits and pieces and make everything work to compete. Raycroft is a great addition to the team as with Luongo when he arrived in town.

So we signed another goaltender today.
