Ouch... $339 Euros... that's pricey. I got my PS3 at Cambie Bestbuy for $274.99, got them to honor the online pricing (spoke with the manager). For the extra $, I'm still ahead, if I were to buy any of those "package" options separately.

True enough, I'm guessing they're fairly solid inside as Sony would be unlikely to replace a solid machine with one that is junk, especially when it's kind of an optional idea.

i've been playing around with slim for about a month now and I'm wondering why graphics doesn't look as good as I thought it would be
there seems to be absolutely zero anti aliasing
I thought console games look just as good, if not better than pc games?
running on sammy 40inch 1080p btw

but when i watch gameplay clip posted on youtube or gamespot whatever, they look amazing, nothing like what I see on my tv
i'm not seeing too close and I can still see jagged edges

my 60 gig just crapped out a few days ago. Waiting on this guy in surrey to fix it for me for $120. he said if it craps out again anytime within 3 months he''ll fix it for free and if it craps out a 2nd time after the fix then he'll give me a used 60 gig to replace it. Gotta wait till next tuesday when he's free but he's only 5 mins away from me

Is your PS3 hooked up directly to your TV via an HDMI connection? Is 1080P selected as a video resolution on the PS3? If everything's fine on the PS3, then it's your TV (i.e. it does a poor job of displaying 1080P content.)

I don't really see jagged edges in mine UNLESS i take a magnifying glass or something up against it. Blu-Ray looks amazing too... Planet Earth (the BBC one) was freaking insane. And I'm just waiting for Star Trek Blu-Ray to come out so I can watch it once a week =D=D
