sounds like you have no clue what you want out of a truck if you cant decide between a tacoma and a 3/4 ton.

three totaly dif. trucks..
the tacoma or the 1500 are a likely choice unless you plan on towing ALOT, or having a camper / ALOT of weight in the back of the box.. most people who have a 3/4 ton never use it to even close to its potential..
dont get me started on the guys who have a 1 ton dually diesel cuz they "look cool" lol..
good luck on your choice

haha, yeah i know my narrowed down choices are pretty different.
the only reason i even thought of the 2500 was just because of the price i can get it for, 4k more then a 1500.
best bang for the buck is really going to be the 1500. i've priced out my taco to be around 41k with what i want and extra warranty. the 1500 comes in around the same price. but that 1500 has a shitload more features then the taco.
the tow rating was like 6k on the 1500 and 6500 for the taco.. i found that a tad strange.
the way i usually like think, especially with a vehicle purchase is about the future. what the hell am i going to do if i get a 5th wheel, only the 2500 would pull it.
and for work, i can cary well over 1,000lbs worth of gear. not to mention there are those odd times were i may have to pull some big ass trenching machines. and yeah, even though its flat on the roads. the new areas of town that being developed is very unstable and especially with the tractor marks left behind and now freezing is just chewing out my van.
the toyota is such a nice truck, great mileage and the perfect size. then i stop and look at the sierra, really great looking truck with so many extra features for the same price and a tad roomier!
the other great bonus with my job, i write the truck off. so 35% of the truck i get back in taxes, and i would put right back in.. just like with my current vehicle. so for me, that few extra bucks for the 2500... why not?
plus i like to be a bit different. no one drives a toyota at work. there are 2 2500 diesels and a bunch of 1500s and a whackload of caravans.

Glad mine isnt a dually, lol. Does hauling 460L's of fuel, dirtbike and quad count as potential for a 1 ton single wheel? oh plus gear for 2 guys?
lol

had some random indian show up at my house tonight, i thought it was my gf comming home from school. the guy tried to get into the house so i slammed the door on him.
went outside with the two dogs and the did there job barking. he was infront of the house for like 10 minutes. so i took the dogs inside and called the police (non emergency). i went outside to look for the guy, he was camping behind my house.
called the police again and they came within 1 minute with a patty wagon lol.
picked up the brother and hopefully dropped him off somewhere on a farmers field or the dump.
