water leaks are a huge problem, make sure you check the spare tire area. my 1990 that i'm building has a shit load of water leaks.
and of course typical old honda rust. i'd look underneath the car for rust too

i remember owning a 88 CRX, good lord it was in horrid condition.
Chassis started to crumble as it was put on a hoist for oil change!

supposedly the 90-91's used a better metal composite, less likely to rust. not sure if that's true or not

The honda quarter panel rust, rocker panel rust, most cars that old have been in accidents so make sure the unibody is straight. Also do a compression and or leakdown test. Jack it up on the lift points and check the front end to make sure the tie rods, wheel bearings, ball joints etc are all good. Not a lot of special issues just the same stuff you would check on any used car.
