The picture is under exposed, too dark.
If you have photoshop or any other photo editing programs you can play around with levels and contrast and improve the lighting.

I'm pretty noob to dSLR's but, in RCubed's sti photo's it seems like all the light is focused on his car and his backround is less exposed, is that a setting on a camera or photoshop edit? And can anyone name some good places to shoot? thx!

He placed the car near a light post so it lights up the car and fades off with distance. Then of course he also photoshoped the picture a little bit as well.
