^ The last bit about him staying to sign all the items and chilling with the team is refreshing. You usually hear a lot about how players are such snobs that think beer league guys are beneath them but it seems like he treated everybody very nicely.

In the winter time, go to 8rinks in Burnaby and watch some of the Div 1 games in the ASHL league. A lot of ex junior's, college, and bottem tier NHLer's play in that league.
One thing is that you will rarely see higher level NHLer's play drop-in beer league hockey because there has been too many cases of guys trying to prove themselves by taking out the ex NHLer's. Just look at what happened to Brasher a few years ago, playing drop-in at 8Rinks.
And most NHL goalies quit playing goal after they retire, because they don't like to get lit up.

Yes, for the most part. Unless he shows up to a game where most of the players are former collegate/Junior A/ Major junior/ exNHL'ers.
