this is really only his first "really good" year and since the arbitrator accounts for previous seasons, i don't see how it'll be an over inflated price unless..... the arbitrator wants to fuck us over just to make chicago feel better

We're not going to just "dump" him. Even at 3.5-4 we can do a sign and trade deal with Bieksa included.

I think you can't trade a player for a year if you accept his arbitration award. You either accept it or walk away making him a UFA
