he means a cross platform messaging app, such as whatsapp that allows people to chat even though they dont use the same phone. some might say why not just use text/msn but apps like this works better for international chatting that is not as memory intensive/draining on the phone as msn apps. the fact that everyone is based on numbers + autoadded based on your phone book helps too

Well judging from his post... he mentions getting a bbm and a bbm pin... no app does that to my knowledge and i was really interested cuz i feel so left out w/o bbm

it depends on the type of skin.. if it's just a sticker sure it won't do shit.. but if it's a silicon case.. it'll make it bigger even if it's just 2mm thick x that by both side.. that's almost half a cm thicker

ohh vertical.
so, my contract is ending in a month with fido and i think it's time for me to jump on the iphone bandwagon.
i was wondering where i can get the cheapest data plan? which provider? and realistically how much data do i need? i generally use 250+300 minutes air time a month. and i do youtube and facebook/web browse constantly

^ I believe it does. But they make the microsim in different transaction so it it's not linked to the phone.
Anyone knows other program does wifi tethering other than MyWi? It's $20 from Cydia....

Called Fido: You have to enter "3436" for the SIM PIN in order to lock or change to your SIM PIN. Hope this will help if you want to add a micro SIM password.

on that note tho, my phone has been crashing on and off ever since i got it. most of it is from incompatable cydia apps and its kinda ticking me off not knowing exactly what crashes what. i absolutely HATE the new "backgrounding"

yeh, that might happen. not everything is compatable with ios4 yet, so might just have to wait a bit. this is a big reason why a lot of people havent jumped into ios4/iphone 4... my brother has his phone just sitting while he's still using his 3gs. a lot of things may crash it, just try to remember what was the last thing you installed and uninstal that and that ususally fixes most problems.
