He won't report to the Islanders I'm sure.
He can't be traded or sent to the minors as he effectively has a NMC with his contract after waivers. The team that gets him off waivers can put him back on waivers where any of the 29 other teams can submit a claim.
If he doesn't report, then he can't join another team this season unless the Isle waive him.
