Music Producing
Just wondering if there are any RS'ers that are into producing beats and if you guys had any tips or input. So far I've tried using sonar X1, but I think it's much too advanced for a person with no experience or knowledge of how it works. I read online that a good beginner-advanced program is Propellerheads Reason. What are some other good programs that I could use in conjunction with Reason?

I tried FL Studio 9, but I found it kinda shitty. The capabilities are too limited and it makes things sound too generic for my taste.
Just installed Reason 5. The layout is simple and easy to navigate. There is also a virtual drum set and on-screen piano.

Mat Zo does as well and if you produce you should know how complicated his tracks really are.

I have been producing Hardstyle for quite sometime now, I was using Fruity Loops 9 and dont under estimate this program. WHEW. I has huge potention. It doesnt really matter which Program you use, its all pretty much personal preference. I know recently switched to Logic Pro 9 and I love it.
One tip that I really recommend is, take the time to learn to program. Learn everything, what each, and every single thing does. In the long run, It helps SO much. I remember only trying to learn what I was only gonna need, turns out, you need to learn pretty much everything.
By the time you learn everything, your music just comes and flows all together.
