1976 Kawasaki KZ900 question
It's not a sport bike my friend is having a bit of an issue with his KZ900 he bought last month. There are 2 clear hoses coming out of the carbs that are basically hanging there. We figure it's the breather tube. He says while he's riding, he can see some gas coming out of it (not gushing out but more drops here and there) and it reaks like fuel too especially when waiting at the light.
Are these tubes supposed to be connected to something on the other end? Or is it supposed to be hanging there BUT not have any fuel coming out of it? If it's the later, what would be the cause of it? It runs fine otherwise, just wanted to post up and see if someone can chime in.

Its the over float vent tubes a little gas occasionally drippin out of them while riding cornering and such is normal as long as its not a stead flow. They prevent your float bowls from over filing and pouring right down the runners into the cylinders and running rich.

Thanks for the input! Very much appreciated. I'll pass on the info and let him decide if it's excessive gas or not coming out.
