Im not a 100% about this but im assuming Oreo signed a 1 way contract and in order for us to send him down to our AHL affiliate team he has to go thru waivers first. I thinking Gillis hopes no one snatches him up or thinks Weise is better

Oreo signed a 2 way contract. You are confusing real life NHL waivers and EA Sports NHL video game waiver rules. In the real life, it doesn't matter if a player is on a one or two way contract, waiver requirements are determined by # of games played and age.
Gillis seems to be high on Weise as the Canucks tried to trade for him last year.

Oreo played fine! ugh. I dun understand some of these decisions.
The only thing missing from his game was that Raffi Torres-like toughness.
