Ironically, he and the team has showed that they light it up from around Christmas time on. I'd rather they crap the bed now then head into the playoffs on a slump.

We were generating chance after chance after chance. Burrows almost tap in from the Sedin's saucer... also the top corner should have. How about Edler dangling the NY D and the Ballard backhand rebound. Or the Coho forecheck steal to Kesler tap in? Those are just the few on the top of my head. Heck, even Samuellson had a good game trying to fire everything tonight.
I'd say this game was ALL Canucks save for...

true, but at the same time Luongo isn't the reason we were 0/7 on the powerplay. what i meant was i noticed coho's play more than anyone else tonight.

Relax guys. The Canucks have ALWAYS been a slow October team in the past even BEFORE they had Luongo.
If the Canucks aren't a top 8 team in January, THAT's when you can start panicking. This isn't NHL on PS3 where you can go 82-0

Of course Lundqvist outplayed Luongo but the goals he let in were quality shots, or at least not his usual softies.
Fuck, Roman Turek use to win games with 10 saves.
It was just one of those nights...

NO but you NEED goaltending to win games, which is not what we got tonight
and 40 shots on goal vs 19 isn't exactly being outplayed, drawing 7 penalties isn't outplayed, the only person outplayed tonight was luongo by lunqvist

I totally agree. Canucks outplayed them on the first 2 periods that they were on the PP. But like I said before it wasn't Lundqvist that scored the 4 goals. Rangers outplayed the canucks when it mattered in a tie game, the 3rd period.

There were plenty of blocked shots and missed chances not solely because of Lundqvist, but the defence as well. The Manny 2 on 1 rush, pass was blocked and the shooters stick was lifted cleanly.

Correct, Luongo isn't the reason we're 0/7. But mind you, when you mentioned "tonight was pathetic... and that there wasn't much going on tonight," you also don't get 7 PPs when you're not doing anything; in fact, PP's are an indication that you're pushing the other team on their heals... and moreso if one is in a game with a string of PP's in their favour.
I'm not going directing this at you so I'm going to just make this statement in general, but this is just one of the best examples why I hate that mofo Lu. I can't stand the team getting thrown under the bus time and time again just because Lu is a made-man in the franchise. The team owned everyone on that game tonight save for 1 player... Lundquvist.

I'm not gonna lie, I was pretty bored at the game. I missed the entire 3rd period basically and got hammered at the bar in Section 400. Bumped into Amsterdam too, looks like the jersey I sold you fits perfectly bro.

I wasn't able to catch this game at all.
From the sounds of it, probably a good thing I didn't.
Must have been a strange game. 0-0 until 3rd period.
And then NYR opens a can of whoop ass...
I know just reading stats alone don't tell the whole story.
But 15/19 vs 40/40 saves?
That sucks!
