It's not a "joke" and it's not getting old. It's making those certain "cocky" fans that give the entire fanbase a bad name eat their words.
The fact is, we were barely squeaking wins in the latter half of the season (as the twins got cold; lu went on a bit of a funk). PP was just dismal.... and people were dismissing it as a non-factor on the justification of the above reasoning.

Not sure if this is considered good our not if canucks make this close...
It helps their confidence, but it also gives them an illusion that they only lost by "a little bit"

I used to think that momentum could be carried through into the next game. The Canucks have taught me to extinguish that kind of thinking.
They're fooling themselves if they think losing close was what their play was like tonight.

Also, can't blame our players. We seriously got outcoached today. Darryl Sutter is a very good coach.
