yea it helps prevent chips and plastered on bugs.
wasn't that hard to remove. depends on how well you do a tape job.
I was pretty anal and rolled the edges around the hood instead of just cutting at the seams.

I saw quite a few cars from Washington rocking tape up front at last year's RS summer meet, so it's probably effective to a point. Good bugproofing too.
