If that is the same one I saw locally, it is plasti diped.
Matte black only work on some cars to make it look angry-er and more sinister.
On a classy Aston Martin its fking god awful.

So had a chance to go spec out a 650i gran coupe at BJ today and matte color can be ordered for $5000 but I was told that BMW must approve it before the dealer can confirm the order. Not only that but you can get matte color on any BMW model depending on the dealers relation with BMW.

I saw a replica Porsche 550 Spyder with I think a number "7" on it driving east on 88th ave and Scott rd around 5:30 today. Somebody posted a pic of it here before, and if i recall the owner is on a board that's offtopic to this one

That looks more like Frozen blue, Monte Carlo is gloss and I think one of the best colours you can pick for any BMW.
