its the movie that started the whole badass gangster films before that all the gangsters were basically slick/cool/classy gangsters
and the movie was considered unbelievably violent, something not seen at the time in mainstream films
and it also caused a stir with cubans
so basically it was a highly controversial film at the time and got cult status because of the badass gangsterism

Gangster Squad - 8.5/10
The production quality dropped at the end (if you saw it you'd know), but I really enjoyed the rest of the movie.

Silver Linings Playbook

Great acting from Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Stiles, and Chris Tucker. It is a romantic comedy that isn't the cheesy silly type. It has a serious tone that gives a nice take on relationships.

i dont know how I miss this, I'm would say this is equivalent to 2001:space oddesey but with a less crytic storytelling, amazing effects and epic sacrifice like all space sic-fi movie should have. Watch in 1080p

very good movie but not like 2001. tree of life is closer to 2001.
danny boyle's movies are all... very similar. lol. they deal with end of humanity, whether it be a global perspective or just a single persons perspective.
2001 and tree of life deals with the universe from a more macro perspective. beyond death, beyond just one lifetime.
