Macau - Overnight Stay?
Hello! My wife and I are going to Hong Kong in April and planning a side trip to Macau. Haven't been to Macaubefore and was seeing if we should consider an overnight stay in Macau? Or should we just make it a day trip.
We don't gamble, just planning to hit the local sights and eat good food.
If we stay overnight are there any packages that includes ferry and hotel stay?

The new Sheraton just opened, and you can sometimes find a good deal for around $800 HKD a night. Check this page for deals.
If you can't find a deal and just want to stay around the cotai strip, the best deal is Holiday Inn by far. It sounds like a ghetto hotel, but it was originally going to be a fancier name originally (Shangri-La, IIRC). The franchise fell through somehow, and it became a Holiday Inn. It is cheaper than the Conrad next door, but a nicer hotel
Personally I like to stay at the Westin, since it is nice and quiet, and away from the noisy/smoky casinos.

For Macau, even if it's your first time and only want to see the sights without gambling, then I would suggest just a day trip. Go there early in the morning and leave at night.
If you weren't with the wife, I would suggest you get a sauna package at the ferry terminal in HK, ferry tickets and can stay overnight

When you get off the ferry at the terminal there are free shuttles to all the major hotels, you can take them over, do some hotel sight seeing.
and there are some amazing portuguese restaurants and they aren't expensive relative to vancouver. You must go eat there, don't waste your time eating at hotel restaurants

I have been to a lot of restaurants in Macau, and my favourite is Fernando's. Be warned though, they don't have A/C so it sucks to go there in the summer
