And ICBC thanks me one the 850 (same a a liter bike) the other a 1700 (more expensive than insuring a liter bike.
Oh shit have to put more insurance on the Aprilia plate up just after Labour Day.

If it makes you feel better, I saw a group of 15 Sikh harley riders riding up the S2S a couple of weeks ago and there was one riding an R1.

I said the same thing Greenstoner,
2 months later I jumped onto the night rod and wont look back.
I dunno guys, How did I fair on the sea to sky?
I think they were shocked to find out I had only been riding since this season.
I have dirt bike experience from from all the trips to our old family cabin, but no street riding other than scooters.
FYI - You can always look at a 1200 conversion, It gives the bike some major get up and go in comparison to the other 1200's.
It will put you around 5 seconds 0-100km with the stock gears (will be quicker than all other stock 1200 sportsters and some of the bigger bikes due to the gearing and weight)

BC Motorcyclist hits bear, Caught on cam.
Incredible video: Motorcycle hits bear, crashes
Motorcyclist hits a bear on B.C. Hwy 7. B.C. RCMP released the video footage showing the motorcycle travelling at speeds of up to 140 Km/h and over. A young bear spooked by a train runs directly into the path of the motorcycle. The driver tried to avoid impact but could not and ended up with non-life threatening injuries. The bear walked away.
