Thinking about purchasing Ninja 300
Hey everyone thinking about purchasing a Ninja 300 new. Curios to know what the price was out the door including everything and how much you pay for insurance ( based on your discount level )
Reason for the 300 is love the way it looks and it should keep a great resale value on it too. Would love to here owners thoughts/opinions on it

If you're concerned about resale don't buy new, buy one that's a few year old and let the other person take most of the depreciation. There is a shitload of them on craigslist and I bet if you followed them for a month most the same bikes will still be there. I could be wrong but I can't see them being big sellers as anyone upgrading is not looking at a 300, your only takers are going to be new riders many of which are going to buy an older bike.
This is my opinion of course do what makes you smile.

They hold there resale value.
Take a look on CL for CBR & Ninja 250. Yes they cater to new riders but there are new riders every season.
A few years ago I was looking into picking up a Ninja 250 for a 'fun' bike but was put off by the high prices for a used bike. (Good for the sellers though). Cause you can find a 600 cc a few years older for the same price.
Also do not forget the whole 'Track Bike' segment. A lot of 250's end up a track bikes, so it is not all new riders.

Ended up buying an 02 GSXR 600 haha. Oh well it was a great deal, guess I wasn't meant to have a 300. Still a great bike however I just didn't feel spending $5500 for a 300 was worth it for me.

i was able to get my 2014 ninja 300 back in sept last year for ~$5300 OTD
i only rode it for 500-800km? sold it for $5000 which got sold in 1 hour, i probably wouldve sold it for $5200 judging by how much emails i got about people with cash in hand and what not. weird thing is, at the same time holeshot had a 2013 brand new ninja 300 for $4800 + tax
its a great bike, but after taking PRS i had to upgrade as I needed a bit more power at the sacrifice of comfort on the streets
