EK Hatch, Trunk Leaks...
Just picked the car up a couple of weeks ago, after driving/parking outside during the latest bout of stormy weather I notice that there is almost always a small pool of water in my spare tire area.
I replaced both tail-light gaskets, as the leaks appeared to be stemming from that general area. But the damn thing still leaks.
The trunk seal has no rips/tears, and there are no water marks on the hatch lid nor the seals themselves to indicate water leaking there.
And yes the lower drain plug is securely in place.
Any tips?

At the honda dealer i worked at (and i'm sure all other dealers would be the same), we would find it the old fashion way. A garden hose spraying the outside and send the apprentice in the trunk with a flashlight. But first peel away all inthe interior trunk lining.
But at this point without seeing the car, my guess is the tail light lens itself is leaking

I would recommend to use two of the gaskets each side and see if that works out.
I'm using two gaskets each side right now and it stopped leaking into my spare tire area.

After using silicone to cover the "gaps" between the gasket and the metal, I took off the door/trunk cards and went for a drive in the rain.
Realized what was causing my leak was about a baby's fist-sized rust hole in the wheel well that caused water to leak through as it was being kicked up by the tires -.-
I will be cutting/sanding/fiberglassing that area this weekend, hopefully the leaks will stop. Thanks for the help guys!
