From what i've heard, the insurance brokers are reserving them for VIP customers. Hopefully they aren't selling them under the table.

You can try phoning around the province to location with a 250 area code and see if they have it in stock. See if they can ship it down to a sister location (like Sussex Insurance) closer to home.

Why? the combination of letters and numbers is more difficult to remember if one day you wish to do a burn out or drift a corner... or hit a pedestrian you do not perticularly like

not necessarily. i got a AW plate when BB and BA were coming out. go to smaller places that aren't affiliated with big groups like sussex

Found a BM250 plate the day after my post, that was the closest I could find 
Do you guys know if they no longer have triple same number plates? Some people told me they stopped it, an icbc broker told me they didn't have it either, but my coworker just recently got a 999 plate

If you have an exotic car you may be able to get a triple plate from a broker and hand them some money under the table. I believe they call those people VIP. That's what a friend told me when he asked for one.
