I'm pretty happy with the model. I was concerned about the panel gaps on the body from the prototype pictures, but it turned out pretty good in the final production version. The paint is great (volcano orange really sparkles) and I think they got the ride height right. I also like that it's a metal diecast since I'm still unsure of Autoart's new composite models yet.
The interior could be better when compared to Autoart Signature models. It's also too bad the engine cover doesn't open.
Since I'm a huge fan of the P1 I'll also be getting the Autoart version for the open engine, but if I were to only get one, I'd wait to see how Autoart's version turns out.

The model comes with two wings that you can swap. The wing is plastic though.

It's a Minichamp 918. I'm hoping Autoart will also produce a 918...
I think it's the metallic flakes in the paint makes it looks rough in the picture. The metal flakes in the paint is probably necessary on a 1/18 to give it the glow. It's actually pretty nice in person.
Here's closer view:

IMO, the metallic flakes are too big for the 1 18 scale. I am waiting for Autoarts version. Have to see how plastic it looks when it comes out next year.

i know this thread is long, but if you try the search option it might find all the scattered posts from all of us showing the websites we buy from... but with the exchange rate being what it is these days i'm not sure anymore

www.amiami.com (Japan) Exchange rate sucks and risk of custom fees
Toronto Motorsports - Officially Licensed Racing Merchandise (Canada) Best prices online, no custom fees, no exchange, very limited selection.
Ebay - super expensive now with the exchange rate and high model prices in USD
Acheter Diecast Au Québec (Canada) - good selection but more expensive.

just seems really odd a reverse light, an amber signal and a fog light would only be on 1 side
