Help with displaying on 3 screens
Hello,
Looking for some advice in troubleshooting a HTPC. I am having trouble displaying all 3 monitors concurrently at the same time. The PC knows their are 3 monitors but would not display 3 at a time.
PC Specs -
Gigabyte Motherboard GA-F2A88XN-WIFI AMD FM2+ A88X DDR3 SATA PCI Express DVI-D/HDMI Mini-ITX
Inwin BP655 Mini-ITX Computer Case Front USB3.0 Audio With 300W Power Supply
Kingston SSDNow V300 120GB SV300S37A/120G 2.5IN SATA3 LSI Sandforce SSD
G.SKILL Ripjaws X F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL 8GB 2X4GB DDR3-1866 CL9-10-9-28 Memory
AMD A10 5800K Black Edition Quad Core APU 4.2/3.8GHZ Processor FM2 4MB Cache 100W Retail Box
I am connecting to a projector, lcd screen and a TV
Output of each to the motherboard is -
Projector - HDMI
40" TV - HDMI
LCD Screen - DVI
I am stumped and have tried various options and cannot output the display to all 3. My other HTPC which is a simpler builds works and displays on all 3 monitors.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Check if the AMD APU (CPU with video) supports more than 2 monitors. Also, check to see if the Gigabyte motherboard can support more than 2 outputs when the DVI port is in use.

Yes I've checked and the AMD CPU with video supports 3 monitors, same with the MOBO.
Would I not have enough power to run 3 monitors? Or should I connect from VGA and use a DVI adapater?

From what I understand AMD support for more than 2 monitors depends on using the DisplayPort. Otherwise, you're just limited to 2 screens between HDMI and DVI.

you will need a video card to output to 3 monitors. usually onboard video will max out at 2 displays only even though they have ports for more output. same as some graphics card. they will only output to 2 monitors even though they have 3 inputs.

Its unusual because the identical HTPC running at my friends place is able to output to 3 displays. The only difference is the computer monitor is rather old and its running VGA to a DVI adapater.
In this post the user changed to a different CPU and it worked. While another user has the same issue as me.
- GA-F2A88XN-WIFI (rev. 3.0) tripple display
If I can't really run 3 displays , is there an adapter to duplicate two displays and one display?

Thanks, I'll try to see if its a bios setting.
It's odd that my friend with the identical setup has it working on 3 displays. He may have a different chipset but is running the same mobo, which the inboard graphics.

That DVI port is DVI-D. It's digital output only. A DVI-to-VGA adapter won't work.

The case I have is a inwin bp655 mini itx.
A low profile card will fit. Any other recommendations?
