Life is fairly stress free, but when the stress hits, I always notice a new gray hair or two. :P

In person I can tolerate it because people are easy to read. It gets harder over the phone as I can't gauge properly, and sometimes I was a bit wound up from taking several straight calls and working with multiple in person inquiries despite two other people being in the department. I'm not blaming them for being busy, though it would have kept my anxiety dealing with a bunch of things in check.

Bingo. I'm not very comfortable around people I don't know, but at least I tried to make an effort. I guess someone complained hard enough because management skipped written discipline.

It may be different per company, but I would check to see if they can do that. I know in my company, there must be a verbal warning, a written warning faxed into HO, a suspension and THEN the person can be fired. How are you supposed to fix something if you don't know anything is wrong? I'm sorry that happened to you, and I know we don't really talk much but if you ever need someone, I'm usually around on facebook
