Could just be the transmission conductor plate which is a very common failure. Roughly a $500 fix.

Alright guys I need your help.
Been trying to find a good import 4x4 for about 5k LOL (yea i know its low but i don't want to spent that much on a toy)
been looking at 01+ pathfinders, qx4 and 99+ 4runners and nothing good, maybe you guys can help me find something.
