Question about Racing/Track days and Back Protection
I'm hoping those who have experience with actual racing can chime in. I'm hoping to get into racing next season and if not then just several track/lapping days. My question in regards to back protection is if you have a 1 piece race suit with a GP quality hump are you still required to have a full spine protector for actual licensed racing underneath your suit? Are you required a full spine protector for a simple track/lapping event or will just the hump on the suit be fine for that kind of event?

Need a CE lvl 2 back protector.
If you're interested, I have a brand new Dainese Action Wave back protector for sale. it's CE EN 1621/2 certified.

Thanks for the feedback. I looked closer into all the rules and regulations last night for racing in regards to gear and the bike itself and i'll be sticking to lapping events for the next few years. Don't have the time to go full blown racing. I appreciate the offer but I already have a new back protector.

The hump is not a protector. It's just there to interface with your helmet in full tuck to reduce turbulence. Also a great place to store your drugs.

the hump isn't meant to protect shit. afaik spine protectors aren't a requirement for track days, but it's probably in your best interest to wear one anyways.
get a CE2 rated spine protector and an airbag suit if your budget allows. cant put a price on safety.

No joke, get an Airbag suit. Unless you're racing 125's, i've seen some crazy crashes on the 250 races and if I'd ever consider racing anything bigger than a 125, 100% I would be wearing a airbag. There was a fellow rider who took a huge fall a couple weeks ago and without her airbag, there would've been a lot more broken bones.
