Yup, my 84 Rabbit L was the same story.
Doesn't matter how well you treat it (best fluids, OEM parts etc.), it will always find new and interesting ways of breaking!

Yeah my experience is anything golf related mk4 and below were extremely reliable and bulletproof. This is coming from friends and family coming from multiple mk3/4, multiple mk2 and one rabbit.

thats actually an insane car. vf engineering supercharger, adv.1, jesus. at least 50-60g in mods easily on that car by its original owner.

I would just replace the front bumper and wheels.

It is a Full body kit (Bumpers, Trunk Spoiler) from Vorsteiner
Everything Vorsteiner
I was very insterested in that car. Low Mileages, very well price for 997.2 C2S (sorry, it is 997.1)

09+ is .2. It's when they got rid of IMS problems and most .2s didn't suffer from bore scoring as compared to .1 models. .2 models currently demand quite a serious premium today.
