I wouldn't be so hard on Horgan on this one.
This is the current culture we live in, people don't listen to officials, people think they know it all. We have a celebrity president in the states.
It sounds crazy, but I get what Horgan's trying to do, we now live in a world where celebrities and public entities elicit more trust and have a more powerful voice than that of government officials. It's nuts, but that's where we are here.

13 active cases in the interior health region. 2 hospitalizations. Since our outbreak 6 weeks ago (caused by tourists from Vancouver), we are back to less than 1 new case per day. Interior health is over 800,000 people
Mask wearing I would estimate at far less than 10%, and all of our busy summer tourist shit is in full swing.

My client (who I haven't seen since last year) tested positive for COVID. He lives in Langley fyi. He said he didn't have symptoms, but someone he came into contact with tested positive so he decided to go get tested as a precaution. He said he had to lie that he had all the symptoms to even get tested. Otherwise they won't test him. He said he was feeling fine like a solid 9/10.
Apparently, his quarantine is only 10 days after first day of symptoms?? Wtf.

They aren't a winery, or a conference center. They are a middlemen for transportation and events, both of which for PUBLIC health reasons need to be avoided since they aren't essential. No one needs a wine tour during a pandemic.

No one needs a ton of businesses during a pandemic. I'm not defending what the guy said, but I do sympathize with businesses that are being crippled by what's going on.
I think a lot of people on here wouldn't be so happy if suddenly their job wasn't deemed necessary anymore due to government regulations.
