The fact they wanted 2000 people but got less than 500 even when paying them shows how bad the trump campain is doing. Obama whould have had no problem packing the event.
Patriot rally in Denver. guy sprays a security gaurd working for a TV station then gets shot by security guard and dies.

I dunno if being pepper sprayed is worthy of being shot, but it's America, the land of crazy
Odd though that more ppl are defending the hired security than that kid who was being attacked, with a gun too, and fired in self defense
Also interesting that the police arrested the security guard, but let that kid go home
But again America is full of nuts, and whether Trump wins or loses I don't see that craziness going away

Well it’s the security guards job to be there. If he just showed up there with a gun for no reason and shot two other people it’s pretty far off this situation.
I still think the escalation of force here though is ridiculous.

He had a right to be there, but he didn’t have the right to carry an illegally obtained firearm to the protests.
There’s a very clear difference in the motives and situations. The only similarities are that someone was shot at a protest.

Matthew Doloff did nothing wrong.
Colorado self-defense law allows people to use force to defend themselves or others when they reasonably believe it necessary to protect against imminent harm, and they use only the degree of force appropriate for the situation.
In some cases, this means you can use deadly force. You do not have to withdraw from an altercation before defending yourself. To raise your right to defend yourself, though, you cannot be the aggressor.

In the picture you posted, Doloff is advancing, attempting to disarm either Keltner's pepper spray or the gun under his vest. Keltner rightly swats him away and steps back. Someone aggressively tries to take your holstered weapon, your pepper spray, your phone, or any other property, you are going to instinctively try to stop that. Doloff seemingly angered by being swatted in the face, then draws his weapon. For whatever reason, my guess is frantic panic in knowing he is about to be shot, he uses the one weapon (non-lethal) he has in hand, and pepper sprays Doloff.
*Removed twitter link to a compiling of all the still images, as it depicts Keltner's death. Not sure how best to provide such evidence without posting in violation of rules or for decency.
**Here's a few frames leading up to the final exchange:
From the footage available, I don't see much of a self defence argument for Doloff.

None of that changes the fact that Keltner stepped back from Doloff as Doloff draws his gun and points it at Keltner. Despite all of the altercations, Keltner never reaches for his gun. He clearly did not believe he was in lethal danger until it was too late. In a blink of an eye, all he had in hand was a non-lethal weapon to defend himself.

That's up to a judge or jury to decide. but there was no way of knowing if Keltner had a gun or not at the time of the shooting. Better safe than sorry is what gun owners say.
