When's the re shut down, looking at India, Taiwan, Japan and Malaysia I don't think we will keep these numbers low past September

All my American cousins, aunts, and uncles that live in Arizona, California, and Florida are fully vaccinated.
One of my cousins showed me their vaccination records issued in Arizona.
English and Spanish on their “vaccination record cards”:
One cousin said “Your immunization card in BC looks better than what we have in my state.”
My reply “Yeah, they do look better. However, you guys are fully vaccinated. I am still waiting for my second shot”.

I don't think we will get anywhere near 70% first dose. Looking at the Karen's we still have. Isn't USA struggling to get past 50%? And they already say they can go maskless. I think that's just waiting for another mutation to happen.

I disagree. The mentality between us and the states is quite different.

We're already at 60% first dose (age 12+) and we're going to be at 70% within 10 days give or take at the rate we're going.

Let’s just hope the fall/winter flu months don’t kick our ass back to high numbers. Honestly, I think it’ll just be like the seasonal flu once we all get our second dose of the vaccination. The biggest difference now will be that people and employers will take a more proactive approach to taking sick time off instead of going to work and spreading their germs.

I've mentioned it before, but thanks to mask usage and increased hand sanitization the regular flu basically didn't exist this past year. I don't know about you guys, but going forward I'll continue to wear a mask in public settings during winter months. I hardly even had a runny nose this year

I've said it before and I'll say it again -- I can't wait until the Canada-US border re-opens. (But only if the US vaccination rates go past a sufficiently high number.)
Can we at least re-open the border to Point Roberts?

I actually wore a mask before covid, when on crowded commutes. Definitely used to get weird looks before, but now it's the other way around lol.
I have since learned that it was the wrong kind for preventing me from spreading it, but it definitely kept viruses and pollution out  I'll be using proper masks from now on for sure.

Hong Kong Airport is giving away 60,000 tickets to in a lucky draw for vaccinated people.
Hopefully this incentivizes the fools who aren't getting vaccinated (many vaccines will likely expire since nobody is getting it done). If they're going to be selfish and not give a fuck about their community, I guess this is what is is going to take... Free shit.
Of course I'll be signing up as soon as I can 
It's been crazy seeing Canada do fuck all with vaccines up until like 2 weeks ago, then BOOM, half the country has their first dose. Meanwhile people here are like "let's just wear masks and hope it goes away on its own" (as hundreds of thousands are getting sick and dying in mask-wearing countries throughout Asia)

A lot of poppy pants (including myself) are eating our words about the vaccination rollout. If the new timelines hold Canada is going to be feeling VERY good by the end of the summer. I certainly hope we will live up to our reputation and will provide help with distribution in the countries that don’t have the resources very shortly.

Gotta admit there has been a certain appeal of only seeing their eyes and having that mystery of damn she hot? With that said, reality has often been very different from my experience at the gym seeing potential hotties only to notice when they remove to drink water that it was a disaster. Kind of reminds me raving at Plaza of Nations and think this chick you've noticed all night was hot and come morning you're like holy fuck was I wrong.
