The problem with Hyundai's overstyle effort is that they don't grow on me. The first time I see it would be the best it's ever going to be. Then it's downhill from there.
Look at Ioniq5... which was super nice when I first saw it... but not even a year later, I think I'm over that. Every time I see an Ioniq5, I feel it looks less nice than how I last remember it.
I think someone should throw Dieter Rams' 10 Principles of Good Designs at Hyundai's designers or whoever in charge of design decisions. They are almost breaking every single one of them.

I think that's the issue with over-styling your vehicle. It gets old & dated fast, though I do appreciate Hyundai & Kia and their willingness to take risks.
Late 90s early 2000 Honda designs still look good today.

^hahah i died
speaking of which, what happened to all of these early 2000's japanese cars. Ive seen a few toyota's around (camry's, rav4's) but it seems all these civics and sentras have completely disappeared from vancouver. Even the sloopy gen after this one is becoming rare.

Because in Vancouver where people can afford 3 million dollar homes don't need to drive some 20yrold civic.

They all got modified and or crashed. Bought by many as a first car.

Rav4 hybrid: 4 months to 1 year waitlist, depending on trim.
Shortest waitlist on the base LE model and top trims. Longest wait time on the mid-tier models.

So I finally did a real road trip in an EV. And it was surprisingly easy if you have a Tesla. Started with a full batt headed to Bellingham, then Seattle premium outlet. And back to Bellingham then back into Canada. Drove around 380 km round trip with all the stops in between, AC on during the day. Super charged for about 200 km at around $8.75 cad? The car didn't say what currency it was in. Pretty damn impressed, took less than 30 min, just bought lunch and ate in the car with AC on. All the frunk, under trunk was great to put shopping in without leaving things exposed in the cabin. Even has lots of room for 3 Jerry cans Acura 604 much more carrying capacity than any mid sized sedans. No range anxiety at all as there were plenty of super chargers and auto pilot was great on the highway. Much more relaxing and can even enjoy the scenery.

I wouldn't call that a real road trip. Premium Outlets is your typical day trip for most gas vehicles you're up and down in less than a tank so stoping to charge is an extra step.
In the US charging stations are more abundant what I consider a real road trip is here to Edmonton or Calgary. Dealing with the Rockies and the Canadian charging infrastructure where there aren't any thing around those chargers.

LOL... I just got back from a round trip to Las Vegas in my G90... a tank of gas got me to Boise, ID. With OpenPilot installed, it drove most of the way there. I only had to assist it in the tightest of curves. The factory system is good too but you need to keep your hands on the wheel so I installed an aftermarket system.

It’s the same on the Lexus. Even my wife’s Lexus RX it has lane tracing and adaptive cruise. Seems to be able to handle most curves / highway situation with very little effort other than keeping your hands on the steering wheel. We did a trip down to premium outlet and it basically drove itself there along the i5

From what I've tried the lane keep sucked on the 20 Corolla, basically it waddles between the lane and it easily gets turned off with our shitty lane markings, stops working in the rain, also it reacts so slow to cars cutting in front of you and cars speeding up.

I don’t think the Corolla have lane tracing as an option. I believe it only has lane keep, which as you describe, bounces you from the edge of the lane.
Try it on a Lexus it’s pretty damn impressive. Adaptive cruise + lane tracing and it’s pretty much self driving.

Top 2 trims are hybrid only but I'm surprised that it's such a wimpy drivetrain compared to its competition. Thought it'd be a 220-240hp type motor. Considering the extra weight the hybrid will carry I'd assume it's no faster than the base model (but probably 20-25% more efficient).

There are different systems, lane departure, lane keep and lane centering. The Corolla has lane keep which bounces you left and right in the lane rather than keeping you in the middle and driving for you.

Basically it's the same hybrid as the previous generation with some improvements. It's not going to be as competitive as the Rav4's system in terms of economy.

of course there's no problems. People can warrant any and all inconvenience in order to justify their 70-160k purchase.
waiting in line for a super charger?
- awww thats the same as waiting in line for gas during a premium is the same cost as regular blitz
Oh wait for 20-30 minutes at a supercharger?
- NO PROBLEM! what fun! ill take this time to unwind catch up on my reading
Paying 160k model X to save gas!?
- SURE WHY NOT, hey i only paid 8 dollars for this supercharge vs 150 bucks on gas (ignoring my 2k a month lease/finance payment)
yeah yeah yeah, anything CAN be done.
