A lot of European cities have a sign like this, Munich and Nice both had it. Though the Vancouver one does look a little tacky

The Nanaimo one looks great, and I know it's a stupidly minor thing, but it irks me that the bottom wedge in the O is narrower than all the others.

For the love of Katherine Houghton, I just encountered VPD's version of Nikki Heat at Grandview Hwy, Canadian Tire.
