In a normal universe, this would actually cause his voters to think "hey, maybe we SHOULD vote for restrictions on gun ownership a little bit.. we almost lost our guy!"

Turns out the shooter wasn't aiming at his head, he was shooting at the teleprompter, and a piece of glass flew off and cut his ear. One member of the audience is dead (RIP)
