Ugh I remember my automatic IS300 I would turn everything off and at the first sign of trouble (ie: snow hijinx) the stability control would turn back on by itself.
The manuel one does not have this issue!

I hate stuff like that. In the Rav you have to do the pedal dance at startup but then it's properly off. Apparently in the new FWD Corollas even when you turn it off if you try to left foot brake it will cut the throttle which is terrible.

^ohhhh I think I’ve read that if you touch the brake at all in any modern day Toyotas it’ll instantly cut throttle because of unintended acceleration law suite
